Whether mentoring Milton Hershey School students or packing meals for disadvantaged kids in Philadelphia, Hershey employees regularly share their time, expertise and smiles with our communities.

S'more for the Kids

For 27 years, The Hershey Company has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) to provide life-saving care for sick children at hospitals throughout North America. Our S'more for the Kids campaign allows employees and supporters to share company-matched donations and participate in a series of fun events to raise money for CMN. Miracle children and their parents — whose lives have been touched in miraculous ways — often come to our events to share their stories and sometimes even share a S’more!

Good To Give Back


Hershey employees are encouraged to spend time volunteering throughout the year, but once a year we come together as a company and spend time as teams giving back to our communities. Donned in our signature grey “I’m Giving Back” tee-shirts, Hershey employees take to the streets in droves, sharing laughter and some light-hearted fun while packing meals for the hungry, making toys for children in the hospital, applying a fresh coat of paint to a child’s home and more. At our largest event in 2015, nearly 700 employees partnered with nonprofit Stop Hunger Now to pack 255,744 meals for families in need.

United Way

Many Hershey employees take advantage of the company’s matched donations to help out their choice non-profits. And each year during the fall, we partner with United Way to remind employees of the impact of their gifts, and provide a chance for easy giving opportunities. In 2014 alone, Hershey employees helped raise more than $3.1 million during the annual United Way Campaign — a new company record!

Run Jump Throw

Hershey teamed up with USA Track & Field and Athletics Canada to introduce Run Jump Throw, a hands-on athletic learning program that gets kids ages 7-12 excited about physical activity while having fun exploring track and field.

Twenty different learning stations let kids explore the physical activities that make up sports, including dynamic warm-up, running techniques, standing broad jump, softball throw and one-legged hop. The program ended with a friendly track meet where everyone could try out his or her new skills.
