The Wilmington, NC Pet Will Be Featured in the Iconic Cadbury Clucking Bunny Commercial

This Easter, Henri, who lives with his owners Kathie & Tim Santillo in Wilmington, NC, will star with the Cadbury bunny in the brand’s iconic Clucking Bunny commercial.

HERSHEY, Pa., March 20, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Cadbury brand, one of America’s top Easter brands, has announced Henri, a bulldog as the winner of its’ first-ever “Bunny Tryouts.” This Easter, Henri, who lives with his owners Kathie & Tim Santillo in Wilmington, NC, will star with the Cadbury bunny in the brand’s iconic Clucking Bunny commercial. 

“When people see the iconic Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial, they know Easter season is here,” said Katrina Vatter, Marketing Team Member, Cadbury US brand. “For the first time in over 35 years, we are honored to expand our tradition and welcome Henri as a new character to the commercial.”

Over 4,000 entries of pets wearing bunny ears were submitted to the first-ever Cadbury “Bunny Tryouts” contest. With help from insta-famous star honorary judge, Doug the Pug, the contest judges selected Henri to star in the Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial this Easter. Henri will make his debut with the Cadbury bunny himself in this year’s commercial, which will be released April 2019.

In addition to starring in the new Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial, Henri will receive $5,000. The Cadbury brand will also be donating $10,000 to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®), the longest-standing animal welfare organization in North America which serves as the nation’s leading voice for animals.
