President and Chief Executive Officer
Michele Buck is excited to bring more than 25 years of consumer packaged goods experience to her role as Hershey’s 12th President and Chief Executive Officer. She has two important roles – mom and business leader – that fulfill her life and she’s motivated by harnessing others’ strengths, expertise and perspectives.
Buck has held several senior leadership roles within the company. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer, leading Hershey’s day-to-day North American operations and overseeing Hershey’s operations in Central and South America.
Before joining Hershey in 2005, Buck served 17 years at Kraft/Nabisco in numerous senior positions and at the Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo.
She serves on the Board of Directors at New York Life, and as a Benefit Co-Chair for the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation. A native of central Pennsylvania, Buck earned a Bachelor’s degree at Shippensburg University and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Patricia Little is the SVP and Chief Financial Officer of The Hershey Company. In her role, Little oversees the global finance organization. Prior to joining Hershey in March 2015, Little was Chief Financial Officer at Kelly Services, Inc., where she championed strategic investments and expansion through the recession, identified opportunities in emerging markets, and executed a strategic joint venture. She has served on the Board of Directors of McCormick & Company Inc. since 2010 and is Chair of the Audit Committee.
Prior to Kelly Services, Little spent 24 years with Ford Motor Company, holding corporate and operational finance leadership roles. Her extensive knowledge of global finance enables her to help create value and drive growth. Little has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Drake University and a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon. After work, she gets all the way out of the office to enjoy mountain hiking and backpacking.
Senior Vice President, Chief Product Supply and Technology Officer
Terry O’Day oversees the company's supply chain organization and Hershey’s productivity, information technology and enterprise connectivity. His efforts result in efficiencies in sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, quality, regulatory compliance, facilities, flight operations and technology functions. He has more than 25 years of leadership experience in a variety of manufacturing and operations roles.
Prior to joining Hershey in 2008, O’Day was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Mannatech, Inc., and Executive Vice President of Operations at ConAgra Foods in the Refrigerated Foods Group. O’Day has also held senior leadership roles at Kraft and Nabisco Foods Group. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, where he attained the rank of Major. O’Day holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University.
Steven Schiller is responsible for leading Hershey’s international businesses. He oversees the China and Asia markets, Canada and the Latin America region, India and Europe, Middle-East and Africa. He is also the board chairman and Legal Representative for Shanghai Golden Monkey.
Schiller has held a variety of senior management roles within The Hershey Company, including President, China & Asia; Senior Vice President, Sweets & Refreshment Strategic Business Unit; Vice President, Marketing, Hershey International; and Vice President, Marketing Excellence.
Prior to joining Hershey in 2008, Schiller was Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, for the Steak ’n Shake Corporation. In this role, he was responsible for leading all marketing, strategy and innovation activities for this mid-sized restaurant company. Prior to Steak ’n Shake, he held positions both domestically and internationally in Marketing and General Management at The Coca-Cola Company and The Colgate-Palmolive Company. Schiller holds a bachelor’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
TODD W. TILLEMANS
Todd Tillemans leads Hershey’s U.S business including core confection, expanding portfolio across snacking and the sales and go-to-market teams. He leads a cross-functional leadership team responsible for delivery of the U.S. business. Tillemans joined The Hershey Company from Unilever, where he worked for more than 23 years. He led Unilever U.S. as president of customer development.
He currently serves on several industry boards, including the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), and is chairman of the Grocery Manufacturer’s Association (GMA) Industry Affairs Council. Tillemans received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoys adventure travel with his family, photography, and running.
LESLIE M. TURNER
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Leslie M. Turner is proud to apply her experience to a company with such a rich legacy of giving back. In her role, Turner leads oversight for Hershey’s legal, government relations, corporate security and corporate secretary functions. She is a member of Hershey’s Executive Team and the Executive Sponsor of Hershey’s Abilities First Resource Business Group. Prior to joining Hershey in 2012, Turner served as Chief Legal Officer, Coca-Cola North America and as a litigation partner for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
She has served as Assistant Secretary for the Office of Territorial and International Affairs (U.S. Department of the Interior, 1993) and was Counselor to then-Secretary Bruce Babbitt and Director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs (U.S. Department of the Interior, 1995). She received a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University, a Master of Laws degree from American University, Washington College of Law and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the Board of Visitors, Georgetown University Law Center; and a trustee of Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. Turner is also the recipient of several distinguished service awards, including 2014 Legends in Law Award, 2015 Paul R. Dean Alumni Award from Georgetown University Law Center, Savoy Magazine’s 2015 Most Influential Black Lawyers and 2016 Talk Magazine’s Influential Executive. On her time off from work, you may find her scuba diving.
SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer
Kevin Walling is proud of Hershey’s remarkable workforce and compelling workplace experience. As the chief architect of Hershey’s organization, culture and talent strategies, he is responsible for all aspects of global human resources operations and performance. Walling knows how vision, purpose and culture can be a catalyst for growth. Leadership in HR analytics, diversity and inclusion, strategic capability building, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, change management and total rewards all have contributed to Hershey’s success and market leading performance. Walling also oversees the corporate communications and CSR team responsible for advancing Hershey’s global reputation, innovative community engagement and globally responsible citizenship.
His 30 years of human resource experience includes three CHRO roles including Kennametal Inc., where he was responsible for human resource strategy and operations in over 60 countries and Acclaim Entertainment.
Prior to Kennametal, he held a global leadership role at Marconi Corporation plc. and served in several management positions with PepsiCo and the Manville Corporation. Walling serves on the Board of Directors of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Lancaster Country Day School and (formerly) the State of Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board. He is a member of HR50 and the HR Policy Association and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Labor Relations from LeMoyne College.
D. MICHAEL WEGE
Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer
Mike Wege knows firsthand that goodness gets even better when we all work together. Wege supports the CEO Office and has been called upon to help lead a lot of groups including Corporate Strategy, Global Marketing, U.S. Commercial Operations, International Business Operations and Corporate Communications & CSR. Wege has held a variety of positions as well, including Chief Growth & Marketing Officer; Chief Commercial Officer; Senior Vice President, Global Chocolate; Vice President, U.S. Chocolate & Portfolio Brands; and Vice President, Asia Region.
He joined Hershey in 2002 after starting his career at Procter & Gamble. Wege graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in Economics and Finance, and holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University.
MARY BETH WEST
Senior Vice President, Chief Growth Officer
Mary Beth West, a seasoned consumer packaged goods executive, is proud to be part of a company that aligns with her personal values. In her role as SVP, Chief Growth Officer, West oversees the growth strategy, including insights and analytics, strategy, marketing excellence functions, innovation, research and development, mergers & acquisitions and The Hershey Experience. Prior to joining Hershey, West’s served as Executive Vice President, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer at J.C. Penney, where she previously sat on the Board of Directors.
In more than 20 years at Mondelez (formerly Kraft Foods), she led new business operations, global sales, new product and service delivery, advertising, marketing, organizational design and corporate and government affairs.
West serves on the Board of Directors for Hasbro Inc. and the Board of Trustees for both The Wallace Foundation and Mercy Ships. She has a Bachelor of Science in Management from Nazareth College of Rochester and a Master of Business Administration in marketing from Columbia University. She is an active volunteer with the Gladney Center for Adoption. West has been recognized for her achievements by Crain’s Chicago Business, Minority MBA’s Next Generation of Business Leaders, Girls Inc., and Advertising Age. In 2010, Black Enterprise magazine named her as one of 100 most powerful people in corporate America.
