Arline, Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, Hershey
Foods Corporation (NYSE: HSY), today announced that Patricia C. Mooney has been
promoted to Vice President, Organization Effectiveness. Mooney, who reports to
Arline in this position, is responsible for supporting the company's people
initiatives, including performance management, diversity, the Hershey employee
survey, Human Resources information systems, employee relations and services,
staffing, training and development. Mooney's organization includes a key area of
Human Resources support in Operations and Technology.
Mooney previously served as Director, Organizational Effectiveness, a position
she had held since 2001. During her 23-year career with Hershey Foods, Mooney
has worked in a variety of positions in Human Resources, Employee Relations,
Manufacturing and Sales.
In announcing the promotion, Arline said, "Pat's broad experience in human
resources within Hershey Foods ideally suits her for this important role.

Mooney holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from
The Pennsylvania State University. She and her family live in Hummelstown.
