UNC Student, Amanda Morris, Wins a Trip to the Final Four And a Chance to Take Home a `Lifetime Supply of Reese's Candy!'

HERSHEY, Pa., March 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- "I'm really excited about winning the preliminary contest," said Amanda Morris, winner of the Reese's FastBreak to the Final Four preliminary competition, "I look forward to going to Atlanta for the final fast break."

Morris, a student at the University of North Carolina, earned the most points at the preliminary competition held in Dallas on March 16. She edged out three other contestants by completing all five fast breaks in the fastest time. She and a guest will travel to the NCAA Final Four in Atlanta with hopes of taking home a "Lifetime Supply of Reese's Candy" in the Reese's FastBreak at the Final Four Sweepstakes.

Morris will win the Grand Prize by successfully completing a fast break on Saturday, March 30, 2002. The event will be televised live on CBS between 4 and 5 p.m., EST, as part of Final Four pre-game activities from Hoop City in Atlanta.

"We are really excited for Amanda and would like to see her make one more successful fast break in Atlanta," said Annette Weaver, Associate Marketing Manager, Hershey Foods Corporation. "I know everyone at Hershey Foods will be cheering her on."

In Atlanta, former NBA Charlotte Hornet, Muggsy Bogues, will play a role in determining whether Morris will have six, seven, or eight seconds to attempt the fast break. Bogues will take three foul shots, and for each successful basket, a second will be added to the contestant's starting time of five seconds. In addition, Bogues will be on-hand to personally train and work with the Morris.

As the grand prize winner, Morris can't lose. If the fast break is successful, she wins a "lifetime supply of Reese's candy." If the fast break misses the bucket, a $10,000 consolation prize will be awarded in addition to the trip to Atlanta.

This is the first year for the Reese's FastBreak at the Final Four sweepstakes.
